アーネスト・ゲルナー

アーネスト・ゲルナー（Ernest Gellner, 1925年ねん12月9日にち - 1995年ねん11月5日にち）は、歴史れきし学者がくしゃ・哲学てつがく者しゃ・社会しゃかい人類じんるい学者がくしゃ。ナショナリズムの研究けんきゅうで有名ゆうめい。

来歴らいれき・人物じんぶつ

パリでユダヤ人じんの家族かぞくに生うまれる。生誕せいたん後ご、すぐにプラハに移うつり、そこで育そだつ。1939年ねん、家族かぞくとともにイギリスに亡命ぼうめい。これは、前年ぜんねん1938年ねんのミュンヘン協定きょうていにより、ズデーテン地方ちほうがドイツに割譲かつじょうされ、ナチス・ドイツのものになったためである。1945年ねんから1946年ねんにかけて短期間たんきかんプラハに戻もどり、カレル大学だいがくで学まなぶ。ここで、フッサールの弟子でしでもあったヤン・パトチカの指導しどうを受うける。パトチカは東側ひがしがわ世界せかいに残のこった数少かずすくないフッサール門下生もんかせいのひとりであった。

イギリスに戻もどるとオックスフォおっくすふぉード大学どだいがくで社会しゃかい人類じんるい学がくを学まなぶとともに、ロンドン・スクール・オブ・エコノミクスで政治せいじ学がくも勉強べんきょうした。エディンバラ大学だいがく、ロンドン・スクール・オブ・エコノミクス、ケンブリッジ大学けんぶりっじだいがくで教鞭きょうべんをとり、1993年ねんからプラハにある中央ちゅうおうヨーロッパ大学だいがくナショナリズム研究けんきゅうセンター所長しょちょうとして研究けんきゅうを続つづけた。

『民族みんぞくとナショナリズム』は、産業さんぎょう社会しゃかいの勃興ぼっこうと国民こくみん形成けいせいの関連かんれん性せいを指摘してきし、ベネディクト・アンダーソン『想像そうぞうの共同きょうどう体たい』やエリック・ホブズボームほか編へん『伝統でんとうの創造そうぞう』と並ならんで、ナショナリズム研究けんきゅうにおける近代きんだい主義しゅぎアプローチを代表だいひょうする著作ちょさくとして知しられる。

ロンドン・スクール・オブ・エコノミクス時代じだいの教おしえ子ごであるアントニー・D・スミスの博士はかせ論文ろんぶんは、『民族みんぞくとナショナリズム』に対たいする反駁はんばくでもあった。
