主 に予防 のため、つまり感染 が起 こる前 に使用 されるため、通常 は宿主 が感染 する前 に病原 体 を抑制 するように作用 する。 - ほとんどのワクチンは、
病原 体 の複数 の抗原 部位 を標的 とする。 同 じ病原 体 に対 しても、宿主 によって異 なる免疫 応答 が起 こる可能 性 がある。
