A torii is a gate that leads to a jinja. This one is in the sea near Itsukushima Shrine.

A Shinto shrine is a sacred place or site where people worship in the Shinto religion.[1] Many Shinto shrines have buildings, gates, and natural areas such as forests and rivers around them. The usual Japanese word for a Shinto shrine is jinja (神社じんじゃ).[2]
