Librarians, Administrators, and Interns (EHRA*)

  • The Data Science Librarian positions provide expert consultative support for students, faculty, and researchers in data science and visualization.
  • The Digital Media Librarian has primary responsibility for the digital media program, including both spaces and services, in the James B. Hunt Jr. Library and the D. H. Hill Jr. Library. Services and support include audio and video production, live streaming, photography, and graphic design.
  • The University Library Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining the quality of data and metadata, designing and managing databases, and optimizing technical workflows within the Data Projects & Partnerships (DPP) unit of the Acquisitions & Discovery (A&D) department.

  • The Director of Operational Project Management oversees all aspects of facilities operations and maintenance for the NC State University Libraries, including the physical facilities of the D.H. Hill Jr. Library, the Administrative Services Annex (processing and storage of special collections materials), and the James B. Hunt Jr. Library, to provide a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment.
  • Works as an active participant in a team that advances library services through applied research and application development and manages the entire life cycle of projects, from requirements gathering to deployment.

Technical Professionals (EHRA*)

  • The IT Systems Administrator II is a member of the Libraries Information Technology department. As the key departmental resource for Apple, Windows, and Linux systems, they provide technical consultations on highly complex projects; provide expertise on all computing platform issues; and train TS colleagues in methods of resolving problems.
