レプトスピラ属ぞく(Genus Leptospira)とはグラム陰性いんせいの細菌さいきん、スピロヘータ門もんに分類ぶんるいされる一いち属ぞく（Leptospira from the Greek leptos, meaning fine or thin, and the Latin spira, meaning coil)^[1]。レプトスピラ属ぞくには少数しょうすうの種たねが含ふくまれており、それらは病原びょうげん性せいか腐くさ生なま性せいである^[2]。レプトスピラ属ぞく菌きんが最初さいしょに発見はっけんされたのは1907年ねん、レプトスピラ症しょう患者かんじゃの腎臓じんぞう切片せっぺんからであり、黄き熱ねつの死亡しぼう例れいと記載きさいされている^[3]。
