Penrose is a dynamic and successful business area located in the southeast of the Auckland isthmus.
Employment in Penrose is concentrated around manufacturing, wholesale trade, construction and transportation sectors. Penrose also has a significant share of employment in office-based sectors with the professional, scientific and technical services industry being identified as a key growth sector for the precinct.
The area is well positioned with strategic linkages to the rest of the Auckland region and New Zealand via State Highways 1 and 20, as well as the Southern rail line. These regional connections also provide direct access to key infrastructure such as the ports and airport.
