Arsenal Football Club has agreed the emergency loan of goalkeeper Damian Martinez to League Two side Oxford United.
With the U's first and second choice keepers both currently out of action, the 19-year-old Argentina youth international joins up with Chris Wilder’s side to help in their push for a play-off place against Port Vale on Saturday.
Martinez, who signed for the Gunners from Independiente in August 2010, has established himself as a mainstay of Arsenal’s Reserves this season with 12 appearances.
With the Reserves’ 2011/12 calendar now complete, he heads to the Kassam Stadium to gain first-team experience at a crucial point in United’s campaign.
Everyone at the Club wishes Damian well during his loan spell.
