Teach with Special Collections
![Quote: something that's so special about these resources is that it's the chance to see history with your own eyes and not through the lens of a textbook](https://www.lib.ncsu.edu/sites/default/files/wysiwyg-uploads/Slide2_0.png)
The Special Collections Research Center welcomes the opportunity to work with undergraduate and graduate classes, and we are especially glad to introduce new researchers to archives and special collections.
We can help your students:
- Get excited about hands-on research using original materials
- Become familiar with viewing and using primary sources
- Get to know the range of materials in our Special Collections holdings
- Learn about the evolution of their college or discipline at NC State
Please contact us using the form below, or email library_specialcollections@ncsu.edu to discuss how we can support your teaching, including class visits to the archives, course assignment design, and other ideas.
Note: Contacting us early gives enough time for planning and ensures a more engaging experience for your students.
![Quote: I think archival research is really illuminating. We see in history books that this was a thing that happened. But then to actually see, here's people talking about it and people reacting to it in the time period, I think, is so essential to understanding the historical context of what we're studying.](https://www.lib.ncsu.edu/sites/default/files/wysiwyg-uploads/Slide1_0.png)
