North Carolina State University History
The University Archives are the university's legal, administrative, and historical records of enduring value. The Archives are comprised of primary source material created or collected by university offices throughout the history of the university, from the late 1800s to the present. Included are records documenting the development of Cooperative Extension, the Agricultural Research Service, and other university units that directly engage with North Carolina's citizens.
The University Archives and the Special Collections Research Center also collect materials about student activities, participation, and leadership, including documentation of NC State's Student Government, Greek Life, and other student organizations.
Finally, Special Collections holds collections of papers, photographs, artifacts, oral history interviews, and other materials contributed by students, alumni, faculty, and administrators.
Examples of university history collections include Office of the Chancellor, Marye Anne Fox Records; Department of Nuclear Engineering Records; Society of Afro-American Culture Records; and Delta Lambda Phi, Beta Alpha Chapter Records.
