Glyph origin

[edit]

Li Shoukui (2015) notes that may potentially be a corruption of that later adapted an etymologically unrelated reading and meaning, on the basis that Shuowen Jiezi writes that the origin of is unknown, that しかばね and ひと were occasionally used interchangeably in oracle bone script writing, and that given 尿にょう was often corrupted as ⿰亻水 in ancient writing, one cannot rule out that doesn't follow the same potential origin.[1]
