Bridesmaid Accessories
Bridesmaid Shoes
Bridesmaids spend much of the day on their feet, so comfort is an important consideration. Shoes can be dyed to match the dresses, or be in a subtle yet complementary colour. If bridesmaids are different heights, heel heights can be varied to create a balanced group.
Bridesmaid Cover-ups
A cover-up, such as a wrap, should be considered, especially if the weather is chilly. These can be left at the reception venue in advance if they are only to be used at the end of the evening.
Bridesmaid Jewellery
Jewellery should be discreet and coordinate. The bridesmaids should wear a similar amount; the group will look unbalanced if one person is overly adorned.
Sometimes it is neater to just wear simple earrings. Necklaces can look too heavy; they may also look twee if they match. Hair slides can be a subtle addition.
Traditionally, the bridesmaids' present from the groom is jewellery; if so, this can be given on the morning of the wedding to be worn on the day rather than given during his speech.
