Our collection of poetry from Cuba features a hip-hop song, “Patria y Vida” by Cuban musicians in exile: Alexander Delgado and Randy Malcom of Gente De Zona; Yotuel Romero of Orishas; and singer-songwriter Descemer Bueno. Contributors Maykel Osboro (Castillo) and Eliécer “el Funky” Márquez are both still on the island. It was sung as part of the July 2021 protests in Cuba.
