バシリスクス（Βασιλίσκος, Basiliscus, ? - 476年ねん/477年ねん冬ふゆ）は、東ひがしロろーマ帝国まていこくの対立たいりつ皇帝こうてい（在位ざいい：475年ねん - 476年ねん）。非常ひじょうに強欲ごうよくな性格せいかくで知しられていた。

生涯しょうがい

レオ2世せいが7歳さいで夭折ようせつした後のち、皇位こういはその実父じっぷにあたるゼノンが継つぐこととなった。ところが、ゼノンは惰弱だじゃくな人物じんぶつであったため、その皇位こういを狙ねらう者ものも少すくなくなかった。そして、ゼノンが皇位こういに即位そくいしてから1年ねん足たらずの475年ねん、反乱はんらんが起おこってゼノンは皇位こういを追おわれ、ゼノンの義母ぎぼにあたるウェリーナ（ゼノンの妻つまアリアドネの実母じつぼ）の弟おとうとにあたるバシリスクスが皇帝こうてい（対立たいりつ皇帝こうてい）として即位そくいすることとなった。しかし、バシリスクスはレオ1世せいの下したでヴァンダル王国おうこくに海戦かいせんで挑いどんで惨敗ざんぱいした時ときの司令しれい官かんであり、能力のうりょくも人望じんぼうも無なかった。翌よく476年ねん、故郷こきょうである小しょうアジア南部なんぶのイサウリアに追放ついほうされていたゼノンがコンスタンティノポリスに進軍しんぐんしてくると、帝位ていいを追おわれ、ゼノンが皇帝こうていとして復位ふくいした。
