When entering these carpark buildings, you will get a ticket from the machine that raises the barrier arm.
If you take the ticket with you when you leave your car, you will be able to pay your fee on your way back as the auto-pay machines are located by the lifts not at the exit barrier arms.

Below are the locations, hours and fees for the car park buildings in the city.
Great King Street car park building
- Location - between St Andrew Street and Hanover Street.
- Hours - 6am-12am (midnight) Monday to Sunday.
- Maximum Stay - No maximum stay.
Note: Great King Street carpark now uses licence plate recognition, which means you will no longer need a paper ticket to enter. There has been no change to the pricing for Great King St. More information here: Licence Plate Recognition.
Wall Street car park building
- Location - St Andrew Street between George Street and Filleul Street.
- Hours - Monday to Friday 9am-6pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am-5pm.
- Maximum Stay - No maximum stay.
Lower Moray Place (behind the Regent) car park building
- Location - between Lower Stuart Street and Burlington Street.
- The Lower Moray Place car park is closed as the building is undergoing refurbishment and seismic strengthening. Work started in February 2023 and is expected to take about a year to complete. The building will be reopened in early 2024. Vehicle entry to the building and use of the carpark will be unavailable for the duration of the project. While we understand the closure is disruptive, it is important this strengthening work is completed to ensure the longevity of the building.
